In this new era of technology, everyone is obsessed with the benefit of it. We cannot imagine our world without cell phones and internet. But there are always two sides to the story. Regardless of the amazing revolution bought by technology, one fact can’t be denied that it’s overused and misused.
These days parents take the help of internet to teach their children various things via youtube and many a times children own their own tablets. This might help the child to learn sometimes but on seeing the bigger picture we are actually providing him the tool for self involvement and thus he ends up wasting lot of time.
There are other harmful effects of internet too, like lack of creativity, less interest in games and sports and irrational behavior. Children develop lethargy.
Continuous watching and surfing the web could result in or increase the cases of eyesight problems like myopia. So, children should not be encouraged to use internet as a means of education as well as entertainment.
